At Astera Cancer Care, we believe the people who experience cancer care firsthand can provide valuable insight into how we can make that care even better.
Our Patient Advisory Committee brings patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals together to share experiences, ideas, and perspectives and identify opportunities to help shape the future of the patient experience.
Whether you are a current or former patient, a caregiver, or a family member, your experiences and ideas can help us improve the way we care for patients and families throughout our community.
Your Voice Can Make a Difference
As a member of Astera Cancer Care’s Patient Advisory Committee, you’ll have an opportunity to share your perspective and help us:
- Improve the patient and caregiver experience
- Identify barriers and recommend practical solutions
- Make patient education clearer and easier to understand
- Provide feedback on programs, services, and support resources
- Improve communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Help ensure future initiatives reflect what matters most to patients and caregivers
Who Can Participate?
We welcome individuals who are passionate about improving the patient experience, including:
- Current and former Astera Cancer Care patients
- Cancer survivors
- Family members and caregivers
No special experience is required. We’re simply looking for people who are willing to share their experiences, perspectives, and ideas in a respectful and supportive environment.
What to Expect
Patient Advisory Committee members are invited to attend quarterly hybrid meetings and participate in conversations about patient care and support services.
Members may be asked to:
- Share experiences, ideas, and perspectives in a respectful, confidential setting
- Participate in discussions about patient care and support services
- Review patient materials, programs, or new initiatives
- Collaborate with other patients, caregivers, and Astera healthcare professionals
- Help identify new opportunities to better serve the Astera Cancer Care community
2027 Meetings
Meetings are held quarterly on the first Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m., with a virtual participation option available.
